Online Registration Now Open for High Impact Technology Exchange Conference!

A consortium of National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) centers and projects today announced the official opening of online registration for the High Impact Technology Exchange Conference (HI-TEC) to be held July 19-22 at the Fairmont Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona. HI-TEC (formerly known as SAME-TEC and ATE-CON) is a national conference on advanced technological education where technical educators, counselors, industry professionals, and technicians can update their knowledge and skills. Charged with Educating America’s Technical Workforce, HI-TEC will focus on the preparation needed by the existing and future workforce for companies in the high technology sectors that drive our nation’s economy.

HI-TEC workshops and sessions uniquely explore the convergence of scientific disciplines and technologies. Featured technologies include: advanced manufacturing technology; agricultural, environmental and energy technologies; biomanufacturing; biotechnology; chemical and process technologies; engineering technologies; information, communications and security technologies; learning and evaluation; and micro- and nanotechnologies.

Preconference technical workshops, grant development workshops, and local industry tours will be offered on Sunday, July 19, and Monday, July 20. General conference sessions, keynote speakers, and a technology showcase will take place on Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22.

Community college and university faculty, high school teachers, workforce development advocates, counselors, industry professionals, and technicians are all invited to attend.
